Frequently asked questions

What kind of commission work do you accept ?

I accept commission work for watercolour paintings, greeting cards and holiday ornaments that celebrate special moments.

This includes pet portraits, human portraits, house portraits and intricate world commissions where you provide me with a mood board and I create the perfect painting that you are envisioning.

What is the process of ordering a painting ?

You can reach out via my website or email me the vision you have for your painting. Over a few emails we can discuss the sizes, details and send photo references and mood boards. Once everything is confirmed I get started on the painting. They take around 2 weeks to be completed.

Do you only paint dogs/ pet portraits ?

No, I paint all animals. I have painted dogs, cats, birds and guinea pigs in the past. They don’t have to be your pets! I can paint a well dressed version of your favourite animal! Apart from pet paintings, I also paint humans, buildings, imaginary worlds and more.

How long do paintings take to finish ?

The painting process from planning, sketching and painting takes around 2 weeks. Sometimes sooner. Please get in touch in advance for time sensitive inquiries.

What sizes are your paintings ?

I have sizes available from 8"x10" to 22"x30".

What medium and paper do you use for your paintings ?

All paintings are created on Arches hot press paper using professional watercolours.

Do you ship your paintings internationally ?

Yes! I can mail your painting anywhere in the world. I offer free pickup or delivery in the Kitchener/Waterloo region and 5$ shipping within Canada. Please get in touch about international shipping costs.

I also offer to add a note/ greeting card to your giftee. I will send photos of the packaging before mailing.

Can I have both my pets painted in one painting ?

Yes, I can paint more than one pet in a single painting.

Do you frame the paintings ?

No, I do not offer framing at the moment. Consider using UV-protective glass to protect the painting from fading due to exposure to light.

Can I have my pet painted without a costume ?

Yes of course! The paintings of pets can be painted in various ways. I have many examples on the website and instagram for inspiration.

Do you offer gift wrapping ?

Yes, All my paintings will be beautifully wrapped and ready to be gifted.

Do you only paint from reference photos ?

No, I accept commission work based on concepts to create a completely custom painting in my style. Please reach out and we can discuss how to bring your vision to life. I love special requests.
